HubSpot consultants for UK businesses
Make the HubSpot you're already paying for actually do its job. Workflow automation, integrations, RevOps and custom builds — flat fee, no licence reselling.
We're not a HubSpot Solutions Partner.
Most HubSpot specialists in the UK are Solutions Partners — Diamond, Platinum or Gold — which means they earn recurring commission on every HubSpot Hub, seat and add-on they sell you. That's a fine business model, but it creates a quiet incentive to recommend HubSpot for problems where Salesforce, Pipedrive or no CRM at all might be better. We don't resell HubSpot licences. Our income is your fee. That keeps the recommendations honest.
- No licence commissions — Zero kickbacks from HubSpot. We earn no recurring fee on your subscription.
- Cross-CRM fluency — We work with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and several others. We'll recommend the right one for your business — even when it's not HubSpot.
- Implementation, not licence sales — We build, we don't sell. The HubSpot seats are a decision you make with HubSpot directly.

Why hire a HubSpot consultant?
HubSpot is one of the most-used CRMs in the UK SME and mid-market space — and one of the most under-used. Most companies that pay for HubSpot Pro or Enterprise are using maybe 30% of what they're entitled to. The Workflows feature is a particular victim: it's powerful enough to automate the entire lead-to-cash motion, but most teams use it for two or three simple email triggers and a deal-stage update.
A HubSpot consultant brings the discipline to actually use what you're paying for. We've found in our UK engagements that a HubSpot Pro instance ($800/mo) being used properly is worth roughly three full-time sales operations staff. Most companies paying for it are getting one's worth of value.
The work splits into three buckets:
- Inside HubSpot. Workflows, lead scoring, sequences, custom properties, lifecycle stages, sales-assist plays. Building the HubSpot you should already have.
- HubSpot connecting outward. Integrations to your billing, finance, product analytics, support and operations stack. Making HubSpot the spine of your customer record without locking everything inside it.
- Migrations into HubSpot. From Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Insightly. Data quality, custom field mapping, workflow recreation, change management.
When HubSpot is the right CRM
HubSpot is the right answer for most UK SMEs under £30m revenue with B2B sales motion and reasonable marketing volume. It's particularly strong when:
- You want marketing, sales, CS and service in one platform.
- Your sales motion is high-velocity (lots of deals, shorter cycles).
- You value out-of-the-box workflow automation more than infinite customisability.
- Your team will use it — HubSpot's UX is materially better than Salesforce for non-technical reps.
HubSpot is not the right answer when:
- You're an enterprise needing deep customisation (Salesforce usually wins).
- You're a small B2B with a few accounts and don't need marketing automation (Pipedrive or Close are cheaper and simpler).
- Your sales motion is highly bespoke and process-engineered (Pipedrive or custom is often better).
- You're product-led and most of your customer lifecycle happens inside the product (you still need a CRM, but it can be lighter).
What we typically build in HubSpot
The patterns repeat across our UK clients:
- Lead-to-cash automation. Deal closes → customer created in Stripe → first invoice in Xero → onboarding workflow triggered → CS notified.
- RevOps architecture. Single customer ID across HubSpot, billing, product analytics and finance. No duplicate writes, no conflicting customer records.
- Workflow automation builds. Lead routing, deal-stage triggers, sequence orchestration, account-based marketing flows.
- Custom integrations. HubSpot to anything with an API, typically via Make.com or n8n.
- Customer health and churn signals. Product usage from Segment/Mixpanel + support tickets + engagement = health score, visible in HubSpot.
- CRM migrations. Mostly from Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close and legacy CRMs.
How Watermelon differs from a HubSpot Solutions Partner
HubSpot's Solutions Partner Program tiers agencies into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite. Partners earn recurring commission on every HubSpot product their referred customers buy — typically 10–20% recurring for the lifetime of the customer. This is a legitimate business model that funds a lot of free implementation work.
Watermelon is deliberately not a HubSpot Solutions Partner. We don't resell HubSpot licences and we earn nothing on your subscription. Because of that:
- We'll tell you when HubSpot isn't the right CRM for your business — Solutions Partners can't really do that.
- We'll tell you when you should downgrade your HubSpot subscription, not upgrade — Solutions Partners are incentivised the other way.
- We charge full price for implementation, because we're not subsidising it with licence commissions.
If you want a commissioned HubSpot Solutions Partner, HubSpot's directory is the right place to look. If you want an independent consultant who knows HubSpot well but isn't paid to recommend it, that's us.
What does a HubSpot project cost?
Four common shapes, all flat-fee:
- Workflow automation build (Free/Starter scope): £4k–£8k.
- HubSpot Pro implementation or revamp: £8k–£15k for a 30-person UK SME.
- Lead-to-cash automation across HubSpot/Stripe/Xero: £15k–£25k.
- Full RevOps architecture or CRM migration: £20k–£35k.
Fractional CAO retainer afterwards: £5k–£15k per month.
HubSpot itself: Free, Starter (~£14/mo per seat), Professional ($890/mo), Enterprise ($3,600/mo). We'll size your subscription accurately during discovery — and tell you honestly if you're paying for tiers you don't need.
